Pages 40 & 41

Used the "record" placemat from the party, on these pages. Sliced it and added it onto the pages. Check out our versions of 50's attire! Cute!

Page 38 & 39

I posted these 2 together because they are a 2 page spread. Notice the border on the edge of each page.
I bought the retro candy stickers ages ago at the Dollar Tree. Perfect for these pages.

This shows the flip album of 5 pictures with it open and closed.

I do not like this page and have revised it and still do not care for it! I used the floral paper and made a pocket to hold my cards. Maybe this week I'll redo it again and post another pic. of it...

Stephanie had small pieces of paper ready for the guests to write down their tidbits of marital advice. I made a pocket to slip most of them into and displayed only a few, as well as a couple extra pics.

Cards- not Pages

I already had the ink pads and stamps out, as well as I had some odds & ends of stickers to finish off, so I made a few cards. I try to keep a ready-to-go stash of them handy. These are not any major deal, but they are handmade by me! :)

I added a bit of inking, or a stamping to the envelope as well. I also went ahead and stamped the return address onto the envelope in a matching color.

*My MIL got me the slinkiest, sexiest one of all. My own Mom got me cotton pajamas for after the honeymoon was over!!!! :)
I used some of my CTMH stamps and made my own designed paper(on the left), embossing some of the designs. Again, I had too many photos and made a flip album. I attached 5 photos together with "hinges" at the top and made a flip book. There is loop of fiber or ribbon at the bottom of each page so that you realize you need to open that picture when you are looking at the album.

You can see it opened here, as well as the ribbon loop at the bottom. I actually use photo scraps as the "hinges" for my lil albums. It is a strong paper and already acid free.

Page 32

Another one from my Bachelorette Party. You'll see fibers sticking up from the top of the page, that is from a large tag type attachment. My Mom wrote down what gifts I got and from who, and I wanted it kept, but not displayed on the page. So, I attached the fibers to the top and made a pocket on the back of the page to slide it into. She had cute comments about some of them and I wanted that preserved.

I had way too many photos of this to show them all across this page and the adjoining one, so I attached 3 of them together to make a flip type album. I actually did this 3 times, as the 3 photos across the bottom all flip up. When inserted into the album/page protector, I will use the "Big Bite" and punch 2 holes-one on each top corner of the photo. Then slice it from hole to hole, allowing the flip page to slip through that new opening. The punched/rounded holes that start that process keep the new opening from tearing any further.

You can see the photos flipped up here.

I need to type the journaling and put it on that black space on the upper corner.

This is Diane, from the UK, who is married to my husbands friend. I don't know her well, but she seems quiet & reserved. She put the thing on over her clothes & we were cracking up!!! Such a good sport she was! These photos certainly made for 2 very funny pages!

Page 30

This page & the next are hysterical! The girls had prizes for games & in each prize was a pink/black pair of undies. Some of them were thongs. These pictures show them acting goofy with the undies! Over their clothes, on their heads, 2 people trying to get in 1 pair of undies.... We were cracking up!!

We did a page swap at this past weekends crop. I did these 2 pages for Steph, she did 2 for Mom & Mom did 2 for me.

Page 25

Used "Home Accents" cartridge & Cricut for the swirly and letters. The photo/s on the upper right corner are made intoa flip book. There are 5 photos cut equal size and attached back to back & hinged to make a little booklet. A way to use more photos on a page w/o using so much space.

Page 24

The large circles with sayings, are coasters from the party. Stephanie & Cyndi threw the shower for me.

Page 22

These next several pages will be pinks & black, as they are all from my Bachelorette Party! All of the girls wore varying shades of pink w/ black, which just makes for even better pages!

Used the same papers as the previous page, so they matched, but used more photos. I rarely do a 1 photo page. But that is all the rage right now in the scrapbooking industry. Cricut cut the squirly thingy and the letters. I pulled out an old stencil to cut the scalloped edge.

Found www.52sketches52weeks.ning.com today and their sketch for this week was the inspiration for the page. I plan to use their idea sketches as often as possible!

The "live, love, laugh" on the lower left were cut with Cricut and they show up better in real life than in this photo. Sorry!

The latest: Surprise. Surprise. No photo! NONE! Just my list of goals for the year in scrappin'. I used 3 sheets of paper, chipboard letters & paints, 1 flower & decorative brad, rub on numbers, ribbon, and a brown ink pad & sponge.
This will be page #1 in the 2009 album when I get it. -

P.S. click on the photo to enlarge it.

Pages 13 & 14

Pages 15 & 16

Used the Cricut for the title on the right side.

Pages 3 & 4

Blocked the entire page with photos and had no room for journaling. SO, I added a pocket to the backside of each page and made a large tag with my journaling, tied fibers and ribbons to it that stick out from the top.

A Page a Day is the Goal for '09

I made a list of goals for 2009 in regards to my scrapbooking efforts. One of them is to complete a page per day, thus 365 pages for the year. We'll see how that goes. I intend to add a photo of the completed ones here.

Pages 1 & 2: (still workin' on 2005).
