129 pages completed!! YEAH!! 9 pages ahead!

Pages 128 & 129

The day that we returned home, we invited my parents over and we opened our wedding gifts. This way we got some photos, Mom made the gift list for me and I got to see my parents.

I had a package of dimensional gifts, but ended up needing 2 more, so I made my own. Know which ones???

Pages 126 & 127

The final pages of honeymoon...
Used a totally simplistic style that is not really me anymore. I also used the map triangles that are from Creative Memory days, as well.

Pages 124 & 125

MOSAIC... UGH! What a horrid project! I bought these pre-printed pages before Martin and intended to use them for fall/autumn foliage photos, but these garden pictures fit the bill as well.

Your photos get cut into 1 inch squares, courtesy of a paper trimmer. So arranging each photo first, but then arranging each square... Deciding which photos to leave whole, which ones to allow to overlap pages... Figuring out how to use the pictures with people...

Now, the real story:
I had 2/3 of these pages cut and laid out. I didn't have enough pictures printed to fill the whole thing and had to send a few more to the one hour printer. My hubby did not go and pick them up that day, or the next and in the mean time, the stupid cat decided to play on my desk!!! Jessika had messed up both pages! some pcs. were just scooted over while others were a total mess. Martin saw it and came to tell me. I said "just throw it away". But, he spent a long time working on it and got it all sorted. (thanks, Babe)
The next day, I went in to get something ( I had been scrappin' at the d.r. table) and THAT STUPID FREAKING CAT had done it AGAIN!!! I was so hot! But, I sat there and fixed it, yet again! Then, this time I covered them with a pc. of chipboard so she couldn't get to it, as we weren't picking the photos up that day either!
I finally got my pictures picked up, arranged, rearranged, and then the gluing down began. WHEW! So glad I don't make these as a normal layout! Love the end result, but the process was a huge pain!

Pages 120 & 121

Used the last 2 of that packet of trees. Martin added glue to the tips of each branch and glittered them to look like snow. It doesn't really show up in these pics. tho'.

Pages 118 & 119

I had the pkg. of trees for ages and today was finally the day they were needed!

Martin's HoneymoonPages

I have posted this 4 times now and each time it rotates the pictures 1/4 turn. SORRY!

The designed paper on the left is inside a 6 inch add-on page protector. When opened...

it adds more to the page AND it hides the pictures that don't really go w/ the rest, but are from the same event.

The next page has a 4inch extra flap, which is perfect for hiding his journaling.

He did a great job! I might get him to do 2 more in a week or so!!!

Pulled out the ol' punches and made my own cluster of grapes! :) CLever, right??

Pages 116 & 117

Pages 114 & 115

I have had this paper for what seems like ever, but it was the perfect color and pattern to match the Biltmore brochure that is on the following page!

This green fabric frame came in the pack w/ the black one on the previous post. This one had lace and buttons, so I added buttons to the other page. Couldn't figure a way to add lace to the other page and make it look right, so I just went with he buttons only.
I just matted my pictures and added the fabric frame and buttons. Nothing extra fancy or special. Not all pages have to be magazine quality pages! Just a simple layout that takes you a small amount of time is acceptable! Add in some extra special pages once in awhile and you are good to go.

Pages 112 & 113

Blogspot messed up this picture and it is rotated sideways. Sorry. Used a leftover black flourish on this page and the next, as well as a few adhesive gems. We stayed at the Inn at the Biltmore House and I was trying to make the pages look aged, but gorgeous.

I used some black toille photo corners that I've had for ages, on the corners of the page.

A close up of the black velvet frame. Bought it years ago in a close out store. Just now found the page to use it on. :)

This balck velvet ribbon with metal word was from the same brand and bought at the same time. I used a new black ink pad for my edges/inking and it was really a wet pad and in some place I got too much.

Today's Easter Cards

Saw some really cute Easter cards in the Cricut newsletter yesterday and decided to try my hand at kinda sorta scraplifting them! I do not have the same cartridges that they used, but I made it work. I used the New Arrival one for the bunny face. The card front is cut like a frame. Stamped the Title.

Used leftover tiny bows (from a previous baby page) for their ears.

This was made with a George oval. Eyes cut using the Walk In My Garden (center cuts from flowers) and white ink added, also the larger flower and the flower hat trim is from this cart. Freehanded the beak, bow tie and the hat. The hat is in 2 parts, as the brim is lifted up with large foam dots.

SO stinking cute that I had to make 4 more! These 4 were to go to the neices & nephews in FL,KS and the UK, as well as the in-laws. But, was so impressed w/ the Easter chick that I am about halfway done with the other 4 to use for other people. LOVE THEM!

Thus, I am 14 pages ahead!!!

Pages 110 & 111

These 2 belong in our 2009 family album. Again using up stickers!! Yeah!!!

Pages 108 & 109

Sorry. Got these 2 in opposite order.
Cricut "New Arrival" is the place to find these cute cut outs. Now, the cute baby, you can find her at my home!!! :)

Pages 106 & 107

The center photo is raised with foam dots. These 2 pages are made with papers from a spring paper stack bought several years ago! I am just now getting around to using it!

My natural tendency is for pages & pictures to be lined up neat & tidy. Straight lines. So twisting them a bit cockeyed is not easy for me, but I tried it several times in these and other previous pages.

Pages 104 & 105

The title strip, the bottles and the "almost" word are cut from Cricut.

WHAT?? is cut from Cricut, also. Had the flowers a long time and using them up. This is a good thing.

Pages 102 & 103

Snagged the flowers from my Mom and used one of my acrylic stamps for the flourish thingy at the bottom of the photo above.

Pages 100 & 101

Sorry for the glare on these (and others) as I had them all inserted into the album and THEN remembered to take the pictures. I did not want to take them all back out again!

Had those flowers leftover from my wedding album!

Pages 98 & 99

I just love these pictures of her messy face AND I love the bright pink and muted orange together!
Hey, I used more stickers again! Go me!

Pages 96 & 97

Had that chipboard tag for ages. Today was a good day to use it! I sprayed my 2 newspaper articles with a de-acidifier spray-front and back. Also, I chose to not have them on the same page as my photos. Just in case...

My hubby did the journaling for these pages.

Pages 94 & 95

Trying to use more of my stash these days and I have a ton of stickers to get through! Today was one of those days...

Pages 92 & 93

These pages are of Boone Hall Plantation. It is still a working plantation, although they once grew cotton andnow grow a variety of other things. They are known for their Avenue of Trees. A half mile long driveway lined with Live Oaks. They have restored slave cabins to walk through.

Martin is standing in the doorway of one of the slave cabins.
